The Design~
We found a lack of tongue relief in the bit market and modified our collection to include ample space for the
horse's tongue, and several settings and sizes to account for big, thick tongues. Allowing the horse to swallow
and salivate is key to a comfortable mouthpiece. We incorporated the use of high quality alloys so that our
horses would accept the bits and the taste would be desirable. The 45 degree set on our bits enhances
salivation as well. The bits come in a kit, allowing for easy disassembly to give the driver multiple mouthpiece
options while keeping the same preferred shank. We can create or duplicate almost any mouthpiece you and
your horse desire as our bits are proudly handcrafted in the USA.

Our vision~
The Interchangeable Driving Bit System was designed and
developed by trainers for use by owners and other trainers. We
sought out to provide a bitting system that is based on the half halt,
up and down pressure series, comfort and affordability.
Over the years, as trainers, we accumulated a large variety of bits to
use in customers horses as well as our own. When a bit was found
that suited a particular horse it was often sent home with the owner
and a new bit would need to be purchased. As a result of mass
production, these new bits were often made of lower quality metals
and did not perform like the old bits. Our horses did not like these
new bits nearly as well. By this we mean they were not swallowing
or salivating and did not seem to be generally comfortable. Because
of this, we set out to improve our bitting system through the design
of comfortable bits, set at an advantageous angle in the horse's
mouth, made out of high quality alloys.

Our Signature Series line includes Mullen mouthpieces at the 45
degree angle, with tongue relief. We have found this bit to be an
excellent bit for a variety of disciplines. While there are some very
high quality bit systems on the market today, we have seen and
experience several problems with them. First and foremost is the
vast number of bits in their system. We found horses would
move in and out of bits very quickly, resulting in increased owner
expense as they would need to purchase several bits for one
horse. This can become very costly with the high price of these
bits. These bits require a lot of time be spent with the horse,
something some owners can't always provide. These bits tended
to be complex and frustrating to use, causing some owners to
give up after investing an enormous amount of money into them.
What we strive to provide is a way to maintain simplicity,
through the use of one mouthpiece, offering tongue
relief, a 45 degree set-back in a palatable alloy with 4-5
half halts and more pressure (if needed) to achieve the
desired training level.
