The mullen set at a 45 degree angle with tongue relief is our signature
bit. We have found this bit to be a broad reaching bit suitable for
many horses. This bit keeps in accordance with our keeping-it-simple
policy, offering the driver a bit with that is comfortable in their horse's
mouth, allows them to relax at the pole, soften in the back, and
swallow which helps create ample salivation. This mouthpiece is
available in several setting of tongue relief from 1/8", 1/4" all the way
through 1 1/4", as well as three diameters and all three of our quality
alloys. The picture of the bit disassembled demonstrates the easy way
to take the bit apart to change mouthpieces.

This bit represents a graduation from the smooth
mullen with tongue relief. This is truly what the IDB
system is based around. This system gives the driver
more correction while maintaining the same shape of
mouthpiece. This especially useful in horses who
progress and develop and require a bit with more
pressure.
